Translate sample flow into work zones

Plan instrument stations from operating data
Instrument workstations should reflect actual operating loads, service connections, vibration or heat considerations, user access, maintenance panels, consumable handling, and future replacement routes.
Where environmental performance is important, the responsible engineering team should define the room and equipment requirements before the furniture interface is confirmed.

Support repeatable work and clear responsibility
Repeated testing benefits from defined tool, consumable, sample, record, and waste positions. Storage should follow the operating responsibility and replenishment method, not simply fill every available space beneath a worktop.
Use the technical review to record mobile versus fixed items, shared versus dedicated stations, and interfaces supplied by others.

Allow for controlled change
Product mixes, test methods, and instruments can change. Identify where mobile support, open equipment bays, accessible services, or modular storage could help without compromising the approved workflow and safety basis.
Expansion allowances should be explicit. An undefined empty space is not the same as a planned future equipment position with services and access considered.
